Siegfried is a walking cliché:
He is a lonely, unemployed, right-wing man in his mid-twenties,
trapped in his daily routine that consists only of playing computer games,
watching football in the pub and completely avoiding commitments.

He is also hopelessly in love with the beautiful waitress Klara.

His everyday life suddenly comes apart at the seams,
when a multicultural flat-sharing community moves in above him and destroys his previous life piece by piece ...
..

Siegfied (Artur Hieb) sits in front of his computer. Through the pane of the screen he forms his own world - just as he needs it.

„I don't think there is any difference between fantasy and reality in the way these should be approached in a film." - Martin Scorsese

Siegfried's world is characterised by delusions out of touch with reality,
which are presented to the audience in a romanticised,
ultimately cynical manner, underpinned by Wagner's music.

The film plays with several levels of visual representation,
with the perception of dreaming, delusion and reality
- supported by two storylines, one told in colour and one in black and white.

At one point, Siegfried's only connection to the outside world is the window of his apartment, from which he observes his neighbourhood.
