When she was younger, Pia traveled to many different countries with her parents
– until her father died unexpectedly.

Since then, her mother’s condition worsened and worsened
until she didn’t dare leaving the house anymore,
which left Pia being forced to take care for her.

Now suddenly she gets an opportunity to travel again, with an unfamiliar but charming young man.
She loves her mother and doesn’t want to leave her alone.

But her heart, which yearns to see new places again,
wants nothing more than to say “yes” to the offer.

Director’s Statement:
What does a loved one leave behind when they suddenly pass away?

When you strip it all down, you’ll actually find, that this story is one about love and the intense impact that our families have on us.

This is the first movie I ever made, which automatically means, that it will always be close to my heart. But apart from that I think the theme is also something I will never forget and I hope that the viewers can relate to it in one way or another.
